Engine Inspection - September 2002

The goal is to take a look under the cylinder head.

A couple of insulating strips were previously added under the fuel tank. The heat shield is a replacement for the original.

The Cylinder, Valves and Head Gasket prior to cleaning.  Considering the engine’s age, all parts are in very good condition.

The engine will be rebuilt at a later time.  This quick paint job was done to halt further rust damage.
